Knokke-Heist

Knokke-Heist

Knokke-Heist is a smaller sea-side town that is a popular resort for the wealthier classes.
It located closely to the border with the Netherlands, with the nature reserve “het zwin” dividing the 2 countries.
Knokke is often known as “little Paris” because of the many expensive fashionables shops, restaurants and art galleries. It has a beautiful promenade and wonderful beach facilities, do however be aware that if you are staying in this lovely city, your budget could be seriously stretched as everything is just that little bit more expensive in Knokke.
If you however cannot afford to stay at one of the local 5 stars hotels, you can always use the coast tram to travel between one of the other sea-side cities to Knokke for a day out.

A great idea if you are in Knokke, is to rent a bike and ride to one of the most popular sea-side restaurants, namely Siska Marie also known locally as “moeder siska”.
The restaurant offers great food; I would personally recommend the mussels and chips, except from great food it also offers an absolute paradise for children with fantastic play areas, so the kids can play while the adults enjoy a luxurious dinner, absolutely recommendable!

Booking in advance, can be recommendable as it is VERY popular.
