A Belgian indulgence

Cécémel

During the cold winter months, I seem to hunger more for a special Belgian indulgence.
This winter treat will exist out of the special snowballs and a nice cup of Cécémel.
First of all “sneeuwballen” literally translated as snowballs, these are a special type of sweet only available during the cold winter months. This unique sweet melts in your mouth hence the name snowball, it has a creamy texture on the inside surrounded by a thin layer of chocolate on the outside dusted with icing sugar.
If you are during the Christmas period in Belgium, ask for them at a local chocolatier or sweetshop and try them for yourself!
To accompany my sweet, I love a cup of Cécémel this is chocolate milk often sold in glass bottles or a carton, it is available the whole year and is a great drink!
It is a thick, luscious, creamy chocolate milk that you can drink hot or cold, whatever your mood, and is popular with young and old.
